The future is bright at Farrington High School! Farrington’s leadership has worked diligently creating their own strategic plan for restructuring. All other schools in restructuring employ the services of an out-of-state vendor to create and implement curriculum. The Farrington-designed plan not only saves $1 million, but delivers a plan best-suited for the students and community it serves, including the middle schools. It will save the students from a daily grind of math and reading, and more math and more reading, in favor of life path academies. As described by District Superintendent, Ron Nozoe, it is not a plan designed to meet the minimum goals of NCLB, but rather to surpass them.
Then, as previously announced, FHS will undergo a $100 million physical transformation similar to that of doing a complete organ transplant let’s say on me – new lungs, new heart, new knees, new kidneys, revamped circulatory and nervous systems, all while maintaining the old familiar face. This, along with the new strategic plan already add-up to SUCCESS! But let’s not forget FACF.
The Farrington Foundation’s endeavor to create a $2 million scholarship fund will be the icing on the cake. How exciting this all is – more graduates, more graduates with job skills, more graduates contemplating post high school education at community colleges, business colleges and four-year colleges!
The future is certainly bright for our alma mater!
Just sharing,
Neal
