The following FHS programs/projects recently received funding from FACF:
- $9,500 for the FHS Web Team to help fund the second Farrington Film & Arts Festival to showcase the many talents of FHS students and students of the feeder schools; also to buy a Sony PD170 videocamera, tripod, and microphone.
- $15,183.24 for the FHS Band to purchase a set of 5 timpani to be used by the various ensembles that make up the band program.
- $1,000 for the FHS Hawaiian Academy to help supplement expenses incurred in the Hale Pili Program at the Bishop Museum.
- $600 for the Leo Club to help send delegates to the District Leo Convention to be held on Maui.
- $492.15 for the JROTC to purchase an American flag and a Hawaiian flag to be placed on the school’s auditorium stage.
FACF Grants awarded via the Principal’s Discretionary Fund:
- $300 for Hale Kulia to help fund an outing to the Plantation Villages in Waipahu.
- $200 for the English as a Second Language Department to provide 60-70 students with a personal copy of the highly acclaimed book, “Tuesdays with Morrie.”
FACF President David Jeong, JROTC Commander Lt. Col. Dave Carlson with JROTC color guard display American and Hawaiian flags donated by FACF for the FHS auditorium.
